Europe sells more electric and hybrid cars
Hybrid and electric car sales are showing strong growth in the third quarter of 2022.

ACEA data show that hybrid and electric cars accounted for almost half of sales throughout Europe during the past quarter.
The niche grew the most during the past quarter, reaching 11.9%.
Market share of 37.8% is held by petrol cars.
The diesel market share continues to fall, decreasing 4.7% to 360,596 units sold.
Hybrid sales remain stagnant for plug-in hybrids
French and Italian sales have fallen by double digits, 22.2 and 14.3%, respectively, due to the recession.
Hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicles account for almost half of European car sales, 43% to be exact, while thermal, diesel, and gasoline cars still account for 54.3%
At 26.2%, hybrids remained one of the preferred options.
