The latest versions of many car models will be launched by the end of the year. BYD, Mercedes-Benz India, Jeep India, BMW India, and MG Motors are among the manufacturers launching new models. Check out this detailed list of new cars.
BYD Atto 3
Build Your Dreams (BYD) announced the launch of Atto 3 in India. EV SUVs are expected to cost between Rs 20 and Rs 25 lakh. It will be the company’s second Indian model after the e6 MPV when it launches in November. Powered by a 60.48kWh battery. ARAI tests and claims 521 km range.
Lamborghini Urus Performante
This is the facelifted Urus SUV. The new engine produces 666bhp and 850Nm of torque and is 47 kg lighter. According to Lamborghini, deliveries of the Urus Performante will start before the end of 2022.
BMW India will unveil the XM in September 2022 as the second M Exclusive model. Launch is expected in the second week of December 2022. Powering this M model will be a plug-in hybrid. Twin-turbo 438hp, 4.4-liter V8 engine with mild-hybrid technology. A single 194bhp electric motor powers the four-wheeler, resulting in a combined power output of 653bhp and 800Nm. A 8-speed automatic transmission.
BMW X7 Facelift
BMW will introduce the facelifted X7 SUV. Vehicle launch is expected in December 2022. In April, BMW revealed the new split headlamp design of the X7 facelift. The interior will feature a 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with curved infotainment. BMW X7 will also be available in xDrive 30d and xDrive 40i variants in India.These engines will feature 48V mild-hybrid systems and automatic transmissions.
Jeep Grand Cherokee
The Jeep Grand Cherokee will be reintroduced on November 11th 2022. Wrangler, Compass, and Meridian will be the previous three models launching after its launch. The New Grand Cherokee will be offered with both diesel and petrol engine options unlike its predecessor, which was offered with both. On-board 4WD is also included.
Toyota Innova Hycross
Toyota will launch its brand new Innova Hycross toward the end of November. Innova Zenix may be a global model sold overseas as a 3-row MPV. Innova Hycross will adopt a very different exterior design from the Innova Crysta.
MG Hector Facelift
The Hector, one of India’s top-selling SUVs, is getting a mid-life facelift. The upgraded model will feature an improved design and ADAS. There will be no change in engine specifications. There is a larger grille, a new bumper, and tweaked headlamps. Hector will also feature the largest touchscreen on any car at 14 inches.
Pravaig Electric SUV
The vehicle will be launched on November 25. It has sharply raked front and rear windscreens, twin sunroofs, flared front fenders, and LED tail lights. Powertrain details are scarce, but the company claims that it will deliver a top speed of 200 kmph along with an electric range of 500 kms.
EQB electric SUV will be introduced in India by December 2022. There is a full-width LED light bar up front and a blanked-out grille. Ii is available in dual-motor 300 4Matic guise with 228bhp, and dual-motor 350 4Matic guise with 292bhp.
Mercedes-Benz will introduce the GLB SUV in the Indian market by early December. GLB is the second 7-seater Mercedes SUV in India after GLS. GLB interior features include a panoramic sunroof, dual 10.25-inch infotainment systems, voice commands, sliding second-row seats, and more. GLB will receive a 190hp, 2.0-liter diesel engine paired to an 8-speed dual clutch transmission or a 163hp, 1.3-liter turbo petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
